主要研究方向基于化学生物学研究模式,以治疗肿瘤、神经退行性疾病等重大疾病的药物发现为目标,寻找和发现新颖活性天然产物,开展结构修饰和生物学功能研究。先后从卷柏、翠云草、白术、蔓荆子等植物中分离鉴定化合物200余个,新化合物40余个。主持国家自然科学基金项目1项,湖南省自然科学基金项目1项,厅局级项目多项,参与国家自然科学基金、湖南省科技厅项目、湖南省中医药管理局重点项目等科研项目10余项;以第一作者或通讯作者身份发表科研论文20余篇,其中SCI论文12篇,论文发表在《Tetrahedron Letters》、《Hepatology International》、《Fitoterapia》、《Oncology Reports》等期刊。
